"Sunday night's Oscars featured many montages, one of which was great show moments as introduced by George Clooney. It included a moment of almost every host in the show's history. But one host not included in the montage was 4-time host Whoopi Goldberg. On Monday's "The View" the subject was discussed, and Whoopi's disappointment was clear. The cohosts spoke of Whoopi's many historical milestones with the ceremony - the first female host, the first Oscar winner to host, only the second African-American woman to ever win - as they talked about how displeased they were with the slight."
