I bought the movie and watched it. Very disappointed in it. Glad I did not pay even more to see it in the theatre.

Football season!
I saw it at the movies and didn't like it. There was a thread about it, and several people here said they enjoyed it. But I think most of them just like the gay looking actor that plays in it :ohwell:

Lets put it this way, it was almost over and after 11pm, I decided to go to bed. 3:30am comes awfully soon. If the movie was good, I would have finished it. The wife and kids finished it.

The movie previews looked really good. But when you watch the movie, it is VERY SLOW. Not too much suspense or anything int he movie. I would recommend renting it if you really want to see it. Not worth buying. a yawn fest to me.

I am not going to give away the plot or what I thought really sucked just incase others want to see it.

So if you were to compare it to Shyamalan's other movies (Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs) this one is at the bottom of the list? Did it suck worse than Stuart Little? Because that SUCKED!

That is a tough call. Six sense was very good. I think Stewart Little is a hair above this movie for entertainment value.

:yeahthat:

I've loved every Shyamalan movie, even the one's everyone thought sucked, like "Unbreakable" and "Signs", so I'll probably buy it anyway and will probably be the only dork that actually likes it.

The previews and crap were misleading... M. Night was my hero till now. I had the luxury of not being as disappointed as everyone else because I already knew all about the lame ending.

I do believe that Shyamalan atttempted to break away from his reputation of being a paranormal entity himself! :lmao:

I do agree with Kain, it was promoted as a scary movie, and that's not what it's supposed to be. I sort of guessed the ending, as I have in a few of his movies, but I still appreciated the movie.

Not the only dork! I am right beside you in spirit! --> watching/owning the same movies (and, I believe, reading the same books)!

I've never thought his movies were scary, there were some scary parts in all of his movies, but I've always thought his movies were "thought provoking".

I watched it this weekend....what a waste of time. Not a bad movie but you are expecting a horror movie this one is NOT it.

I watched it last night...

... It was eerie, but it wasn't SCARY. I thought it would be scary. So I was disappointed in the Fear Factor. Well, there was this one scary part....

And there is couple of very interesting twists which (for me) more than make up for the lack of action.

It was paced very much like Unbreakable. Slow and quiet.
