Western Europe is home to a cluster of developed economies that boost some of the highest standards of living in the world. But that could soon change. Because as Evan Horowitz writes on NBC News's new "Think" vertical, IQ scores in France, Scandinavia, Britain, Germany and even Australia are beginning to decline.

The trend has been well-documented across Western Europe, and could soon carry over to the US as well. Which means the data have confirmed what millions of Americans who have watched cable news or logged on to twitter over the past three years probably already suspected: The world is getting dumber.

Governments encourage low IQ people to reproduce via the welfare system. Interesting that not many PHD holders have 10 - 12 kids but it's not too hard to find those types of families getting government assistance.

Exhibit A - 15 kids by 3 different sperm donors. Wanna guess the average IQ of those kids? If this woman was a dog, she'd be a cash cow for her puppy mill. Dropping a litter every 10 months.

Is the world getting dumber or are we expecting less from the young ones.
Remember when we had to memorize the multiplication tables? Poetry. Aye tear her tattered ensign down, long have they waved on high.
We had to be able to print , but we also had to learn cursive.
We had Home Ec. ,Civics, World History, American history?
And we got our little asses whipped by the principal. We had discipline to a point and we had the manners to say Mr. and Mrs.
Sir and Maam
Are we losing our IQ's or are we just not required to use them any longer.?

Both. If you don't excersize your mind, your IQ will drop. A small number of people do the heavy thinking and everyone else just uses their ideas with no idea how it works. Why spend time and energy researching something at the Library when Google and Bing hand you the answer? Don't even have to get up out of the chair.
