Patuxent Playhouse is going to be putting on Schoolhouse Rock. That should be fun.

OK i like never went to a theater....I know that sounds crazy but I was never even interested enough in something to go. Or if I was I couldn't. Anyway I wanna see "My Sisters Keeper". Saw its playing in theater in waldorf... but it has awful reviews and I've heard lots of people say they wouldn't go to it.

In St. Mary's the only theater I go to is the one on base, otherwise, the nicest theaters around are in Annapolis. It is worth the drive to go there. They have the nice stadium seating and it is also a nice mall to walk around before or after the movie with good places to dine in the area.

They're out to get us
Since you're talking about MOVIE theaters (cmon people, her links say movie theater if you can't figure it out by any other way), my suggestion is to not go to a local one if you care about your movie-going experience. The one in Lexington Park isn't horrible if you just want to see a movie without the drive, but it does suck for the price they charge.

But if you want a good movie-going experience, then I'd suggest you check out one of the two in Annapolis (one at the mall and one in some other plaza), the one at Arundle Mills Mall (used to be Muvico, now it's owned by Cinemark or something), any IMAX theater, or I think there is a theater in Columbia. There might be some in NoVa that are a similar driving distance as well.

Basically, you're in for a hike regardless. Just don't go to the one in Ghetto-dorf.

Even after the new theater in Brandywine is finished, we will probably still drive to The Hoffman Theater in Alexandria. Only gripe i have about that place is that they do not carry/sell SNOWCAPS! :cds:
