TV Reporter Struck and Killed on Rt. 301 After Filming Fire Scene
Upper Marlboro 12/21/2006
Gordon Davis, a WJLA -7 News videographer, arrived on the scene shortly after and went about his job of filming the firefighters in action, as he has done for the ABC station for the past decade.
Davis, 51 of Thurmont, parked his live-truck at a gas station parking lot across Crain Highway, Rt. 301, from the fire scene.

To start with, the headline is a bald-face lie. He is not a television reporter. He's not on the air reporting from the scene. He is taking pictures. That makes him a cameraman.
There's a chance, though slim, if a major event happened, he would be on air.
