Rockies General Manager Dan O'Dowd takes pride in the fact that he has collected what he considers to be a group of high-character players. But even he was taken aback when he found out the team, in a vote last week, voted to issue Mandy Coolbaugh a full playoff share. Coolbaugh is the widow of Mike Coolbaugh, the Rockies minor league coach who was killed by an errant line drive while coaching first base for the Tulsa Drillers.

"It almost brought tears to my eyes," O'Dowd said.

I heard this on Mike and Mike this morning, the sons are going to throw out the first pitch as well...:yay: Awesome story...
