While they're over on Reddit and Tik Tok keening about how miserable and mentally ill they are, the rest of us got to watch the remarkable press conference of Marc Fogel who Trump just got released from a Russian prison after Biden ignored him for 3.5 years.
That said, I really REALLY wish Americans showed better judgement when traveling abroad and didn't bring drugs with them, even if they are legal in the US.
And THAT said, there should be an agreement in place - perhaps the UN could work on this......

Anyway, there should be an agreement in place that non-violent crimes get shipped back home for punishment instead of someone getting tortured for 14 years over a little pot. So some French tourist comes over here and shoplifts - send them home and let France deal with it. Whatever. But some of these countries have such draconian punishments that you have to wonder why anyone would want to go there in the first place.
