...I'm catching some Daily Show to see how John Stewart sees the election.

He's got Chuch Schumer on and Steve Colbert did a bit and their take on their losing so heavily, from the presidency to Daschle et al is:

The rest of America is homophobic.

I'm sitting here, jaw dropping. That's it.

So, Schumer says 'well, we're closer to average Americans on the issues than they are and yet we keep getting outfoxed...'

To his credit, John said 'well, could it be that we are the media elitists they say we are?'

Nah. How could that be? Gay marriage. Yep, that's what it is. Sure thing.

Then, they finish with a two guys getting married clip!

They're convinced.

They will when people walk past a Democratic Senator and a tour of the capital and a guide wips out a megaphone and starts with:

"Here we have the rare Democrat in congress. Once these halls were filled with the Democratic Senators, steadily their numbers dwindled and now they are virtually exstinct. Next stop the Democratic exhibit in the Smithsonean...move along...we are walking .....we are walking."
