"They hated me first!"

John 15:18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21 They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father as well. 24 If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. 25 But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’
I can't remember who she was, but one of the women in a church there in Southern Maryland, was very upset with the idea of the end of the world. She was very concerned that children and indigents. She said they didn't have the time or the knowledge to "choose" and they might be robbed of their chance to get to Heaven.

Well, here you go. Here's the answer to your plea, my dear Sister in Christ. Children, who are not old enough to have chosen, would not be guilty of sin. Humans who have not had the opportunity to hear the Word, are ignorant and they would not be guilty of sin.

HOWEVER, if you know who Jesus is, and you still don't choose to follow Him, then you are a hateful human and you will be judged accordingly.

AND ON TOP OF THAT, If you have chosen Jesus as you Savior, then you decide you don't like the idea of being one of the "chosen" and you want to run your own life, without God, well you have chosen wrong. You must have decided you can do it on your own, and in taking that action you have shown a disregard for the One True Living God, and you will be judged accordingly. If you know Him and you turn your back on Him, you will be judged accordingly.

Which leads me to wonder, what about the little boys who were raped by priests? Do they have to go back to Church? Do you have to go back to the brick-and-mortar buildings with a human teacher? NOPE... you just have to get back in the Word and talk it out with God. He definitely knows what those bums did. That vengeance is His. They will definitely get theirs. God can do a lot more to those predators than a mere human could even dream of. They will get theirs. they will definitely be judged accordingly.

What about the women who were defiled by a preacher? Defiled, sounds like such an innocuous word, much less than the word rape, but it's just as bad. We are taught to "trust" the preachers. We are taught not to break the seventh and ninth commandments. We are taught to be good women; we don't commit adultery. We are taught that being a whore could get you stoned in the days of Jesus. Most women who have been "touched" by a preacher, don't tell. They think "Who would believe me? He's a preacher!". If they do tell someone about the "touching", be it physical or emotional, they would be labeled a liar or a slut. After all he's a preacher! Preachers are somehow above all that. BUT... take heart, that preacher will be judged accordingly. God can do a lot more to those predators than a mere human could ever dream of. That preacher will be judged accordingly.

The reason the priests and preachers are going to be judged more harshly is in Verse 21.... they don't really know God. They are choosing to fake it.... they might even believe the lie themselves.

Remember.... Jesus said, "They hated me first".

Does the world hate you?
