I started with the 2003 SRT, which was about 215 to the wheels (SRT guys tuned very conservatively, testing for "score" using crappy CA 91 octane gas, 100 ambient temp, off the charts humidity, so it was a given that under decent conditions with good gas, you could get rated on a dyno at the wheels) and added all three Mopar upgrade kits, the last of which replaced the fuel pump, injectors, and turbo with one with a Ti-Al lightweight turbine for fast spool. Had a special button you could press to load a tune meant for 100 octane race gas. That's' when you got 360, on street gas it was "only" 310 or so
Oh, and got a part named after me, after harassing one of our vendors to make a certain kind of intercooler
Guy called it the Wuss intercooler because I refused to remove the front crash bar to fit a larger one
Tires were good for about a year or so, kept it in the 220-240 tread wear range. Being not enamored of burnouts, I actually didn't wear them out too fast. Oddly enough, the M vert only weighs 200lbs or so more than the Neon SRT. So, light weight, rear wheel drive, over 300hp, manual transmission, awesome feeling inline six, if you love to drive, it checks all the boxes.
