Sony - Handycam Camcorder - Black/Silver - DCR-SR45

Read the customer reviews, and though some were not impressed/happy, it sounds like what we are looking for. It's in the price range I'm looking for (not too cheap, not too expensive or fancy). Any input from you guys? TIA!!

Saw that too, but I don't feel like going to Waldorf!! Best Buy in California has them in-stock. Minimal difference in price. Other than the fact that it's a neat toy, the main reason I'm thinking of buying right now is so that I have it for next weekend. That's when I'll be hosting 40+ people here for Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary party. They will be married 50 years tomorrow!!! Hubby and I just celebrated 26 years back in July, so I guess the apple didn't fall too far from the tree!!!

The only con so far is that it is underused.
