Thinking about fostering

I have been thinking about fostering for a while. I would love to help out but I didn't know if you have to meet certain standards. I have a 2 and a half year old female pitbull (Princess) who is animal friendly and a 8 year old male cat (Blue). I have an acre and a half of yard so plenty of room to play but it's not fenced in but I do have an electric fence. This is my first time posting so TIA for anyone's help!

I would guess you have to have a physical fence, not just an electric one.

Your best bet is to call some rescue groups and see what you can do to get involved. Good luck!

Many rescues will ask if the dogs are going to be kept inside and if so then it's usually not an issue with not having a physical fence. There are some rescues that will not allow fostering or adoption with particular dogs if there's no fence. Best of luck to you and bless you for wanting to foster. Start calling because so many are in need of foster homes.

My store (Pepper's Pet Pantry) has a lot of contact info about local rescue groups. There are also links on Pepper's Pet Pantry
