Well, I think the state needs to carry some of the responsibility.

peope like this get away with this all the time. All that happens is the kids get taken away and they continue to have more kids. she needs to be fixed so she cant have anymore kids. also the state needs to be looked into and find out why this was allowed to happen again

I agree LG, almost each and every time you hear of a tragic story such as this, the state had intervened at some point, but they failed to follow up and keep in touch with this women. Sure, she is a loser but the system failed at the price of a little boy.

Authorities said Lakyna Anderson was charged because she left the baby with a man who had a previous history of abuse.

Ok, where are you people who will say mom shouldn't be guilty because of stupidity. That "she should've known better" is not a reason for her to be charged?
