This message is written with great regret and sadness

It appears that I'll be moving back to Southern Maryland.

:wipingawaytear:

I love my job. I love Arizona. I love everything about being here. The weather, the people, city-livin, clean air, minutes away from Mejico. Everything. (Except for the low quality sports teams - badabang!).

However, I have a family member who got sick right after we left, and is now at the point where day to day care is required. (I'm not saying who, and I'm not saying what - it's not my business to blab this information on the internet) And unfortunately, there are only two people who can help with this situation, and that's my wife and me.

Family is way more important than location: So I've obtained a job in SOMD, and within the next few weeks, we'll be packing up, and heading back to Maryland where I will be crying all the way from here to there, and we're going to be living there for an indefinite - but almost certainly mid to long term - period of time.

I plan on moving back to Arizona when this situation is over, for better or worse. This is my home and from now on it will always be my home.

So I might see some of you soon.

'Specially those working down at St. Inigoes.

Damn, Tox. :frown: Well, the good news is that you were able to get a job, so at least that's something.

Gosh Tox - I'm sorry for the reason you are returning, but happy that I may get to finally meet you in person and compare our book lists! As you said, family is the most important thing in the world, and you won't regret a minute you spend helping yours. :huggy:

But wait, there's more...
Oh no! That sucks! I take it there's no chance to transfer the family member out there to you? The weather may be more favorable, depending on their condition. :ohwell:

At any rate, best of luck! At least you had the opportunity to live out there for a little while, and perhaps you'll have a chance to go back someday. I can appreciate first-hand your sorrow over leaving. :huggy:

Family is the most important bond that ties. Sometimes they cause us to make changes in life we are less than enthusiastic to make. In the long run the payoff for being there for others in their time of need is far more rewarding than any place we live.

Well, when you're as friggin awesome as I am, it's hard to NOT get a job.

j/k.

Actually I'll be moving back into a position that I left a few years ago, with some enhancements that reflect my last few years of experience.

Hey Tox...

You're coming back just in time for a good ole fashioned Maryland winter. Good thing you're getting out of that Arizona sun.

Thanks. I've already thought of that.

300+ days per year of cloudless sky and sunshine.

And I'm trading it in for 300+ days per year of overcast gray skies and 100% humidity.

Someone kick me in the face. Please.
