My command has close to 450 enlisted personel, and the advancement exam results have just been posted..
Only 11 people in my command were advanced....

AIMD is another large enlisted community here on base......:drumroll:
NO-ONE advanced

Talked to an AE buddy....(aircraft electrical) only 2 were advanced NAVY-WIDE

Its official.....The navy is downsizing....it is allmost impossible to advance now and in case you dont understand....


Lets say that there are 12,000 E-4's in the navy etty officer 3rd class.
The quotas come out and they only plan on promoting 10%
(you do the math).....that means even if you ACE THE TEST....odds are against you fore advancement.

All i can say is i'm glad my time in this political circus is about done.....if i last another 6months without losing my sanity...(not that i had it to begin with)

It's been harder and harder over the last 15 yrs or so to make rate as an AE. It took my Ex 10 yrs to make 2nd.
