The culprit left no part of the vehicle untouched.
I called the police, and a made a report.
While the Detective was taking down notes, my son arrived home from school.
To make a long story short, after the Detective left, I discovered that my 7 year old had decided to "decorate" my car with a piece of gravel from the driveway.
I called the station to explain what had happened, and the Detective asked if I wanted to press charges. We both laughed, even though we both knew it was still a serious matter.
The scratches were successfully buffed out by a detailing company, and my son learned an important lesson:
Only make "art" for mommy on/with pre-approved media.
I know this was Sorry!
Ummm, he broke into your truck five times...I think he knows where you live at the very least. The victim did not want to be identified, just in case the burglar knows who he is.

I got a phone call from work and left her to the task, came back 25 minutes later and all the crap was off the car and she was grinning ear to ear. She was so proud of herself for figuring out a brillo pad got that crap off quick. Didn't have the heart to say anything, paid her 5 bucks and started compounding.
