First off let me say Im not a religious man. I have met several people including teachers I had as a kid that said the same thing. Notice he did not say he speaks for God, he said God speaks through him. As I understand the Bible shouldn't all Christians think that?

I agree. There's nothing wrong with hoping that you speak/stand up for/are a part of God's will. We should all hope to feel that way. I thought it was a nice story.

The heat is turned up if the actions & "speaking" does NOT line up with Scripture...then we have the "Messiah complex"
If my language, actions, and heart are sensitve to what has been commanded through His Word...then yes...I am a Christ-Bearer (the true definition of Christian).

It is NEVER legit for someone to say..."God Told me last night to tell you to ...(fill in the blank). God doesn't whisper in other people's ears what He wants YOU to do.
