i for one will pass on the self service offering. since they jammed this tax up our a$$e$ i will continue to go to the full service veips, i have never had to wait more than 2 cars before. Normally in and out in under a half an hour.

Last two times I was in for my Veip test the guy working there didn't do anything. He just handed me the pass certificate and took my $14.

I was thinking if they only scan the mailing notice, what would stop you from using someone else's car? But the video seems to show a device connecting to the OBD port, so the VIN is probably read and compared.

Yep, gets all that off the cars computer. Would love to see the fail data to see if you could do the math on this. Amount of fails x percentage of bad gasses bounced off the amount of bad gasses generated by the operation of the whole VEIP system....... paper produced, machinery built and operated. Miles driven soley in the service of VEIP.....
