ARMED ROBBERY: On July 27 at 10:09 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Pilgrim Square in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old pizza delivery man, attempted to deliver a pizza to a residence when he was approached by a male suspect who brandished a handgun. The suspect stole cash and fled the scene on foot toward Smallwood Drive. Officer R. Leukhardt and his K9 partner checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a “do-rag” on his head. He may have been in a black Toyota Camary. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer N. Day is investigating. <!-- google_ad_section_end --></SOMDNEWS>

Well what would you expect, Waldorf has turned into the little DC. DONT go to the mall after 6 pm for fear of ether being robbed, car broken into or worst. No its obvious that the entire Waldorf area is going to the DOGS so to speak, and thats just being nice.

I understand what you're saying, Nancy - I agree that they should have included the whole thing, for sure.

But in this case, what's the point? The description is so poor, and fits the description of so many, that it's nearly a waste of airtime to broadcast it. The only distinguishing feature is "black Toyota Camry" and they're not even sure about that.

I mean, they leave a few unanswered questions here, which the fellow who was robbed should be able to communicate:

Was the assailant tall or short?
Was the assailant fat or skinny?
Was the assailant real dark, or lighter-complected?
What was the assailant wearing (color and type of clothes and shoes)?
Did the assailant have any other features that would help us identify him?

If the pizza guy can't answer the questions, then the prime suspect I'd have is the pizza guy, unless he was knocked down before he could see the assailant. Maybe the pizza guy needed gas money.

You don't have this inter-racial crap in more balanced towns such as La Plata or even in Virginia towns. It all boild down to whatever the majority race is sadly. Most of that #### in D.C. is racial issues - whites attacking blacks and blacks attacking whites. I'M sick of it, it's the 21st Century.

That's one thing I dislike about MD, we don't allow honest private citizens to carry concealed weapons like 40 other states, My 2 nonresident concealed weapons permits (VA & FL) are good in 38 of the 40 states. Police are NOT the first responders, the victims are!!!

Forget the after 6 p.m. part. I know of people that have gotten robbed during the middle of the day.
