I meant to reply to this, earlier, but babysitting, life, and all. The likenesses are uncanny. Too funny. I looked up why the gargoyles were used. They were old time gutters to get rid of the runoff; as to not damage the building. And, to scare people into going to church. Nothing has changed in all these hundreds of years.
