Is anyone interested in knowing more about the person who this bridge is named after?

Does anyone know he was born in Calvert County?

He has been the question on Jeopardy!

From Wikipedia

"Thomas Johnson (November 4, 1732–February 22, 1819) was an American jurist with a distinguished political career. He was the first elected Governor of Maryland, a delegate to the Continental Congress and an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court."

"In 1978, the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge was opened to traffic after being named for Johnson. The bridge crosses the Patuxent River and connects Calvert County, Maryland with St. Mary's County, Maryland."

Remember the first sign that said "Thom Johnson" bridge. The historians had that changed in record time.

There was a boat/helo exercise over that way today, said that the cars on the bridge nearly came to a full stop. Probably figured there was a jumper or something. Whoops. Not the brightest idea to be pulling stunts like right there.

Shortest term in office as a Supreme court Justice

Back in the day it was very hard to ride the circuits on this older gentleman so he resigned. But he wrote the first dissent ever for the court and it was later made law.

I bet he'd like to meet the crackhead that build the bridge so he could rip his head off.

That, and the person who put Johnson's name on the POS.
