Chinese scientists, in their efforts to create food out of just about anything, have managed to cross breed a common field mouse with an Australian kiwi. The result, seen below, may be a bit disturbing but it is hoped to ease the growing pains of the great nation. Xian Lee Ming, the scientist heading the research, promises that this experiment has been handled in the most humane of ways. "This is but the first step of our plan to insure no Chinese national suffers from hunger", Ming said. This has not gone unnoticed by the international SPCA community. Jane Robinowietz, spokesperson for the group, has stated, " This is an abomination and cruelty to animals in the highest degree! They must suspend this research immediately!" The Chinese government had no official response to Miss Robinowietz, but promised that the research would not be halted.
