Those skinny Xmas trees

Looks like we need to get one this year because our big one will never hold up against Rassie and her tail. Does anyone else have one of those and, if so, how does it look? They look awfully skinny and ugly to me.

Are you talking fake tree? If so, I have no advice.

Once you get them decorated, they look very nice! Have a room where I don't have a lot of space for a tree and bought one of these a few years ago. Wasn't too keen on it, but now I love it!!!

Used to only get a real tree until I saw one go up in smoke in less than 20 seconds. :yikes: Now it's artificial all the way. I hate it, but that's just the way it has to be.

My dad's family always had a real tree. My mom's family always had a fake tree. I just don't like the real ones much at all so I have always had artificial.

BTW, you really must be spending an awful lot of time at the Super Wal-mart if you are already thinking Christmas tree...:eyebrow:

I was at Lowes today looking at them. I went for mulch and ventured into their Xmas section. I can't believe how fast Christmas is coming.

:lmao: No! Only replied because I saw the post. To be honest, I can't even think about getting into Christmas decorating until at least the second week of December! I am letting my Daughter's friend (she's like my second Daughter) come decoration shoppping in my basement next weekend! Gets rid of some of the old stuff and gives me a reason to buy new (when the time comes)!! BAH HUMBUG!!!!:lmao:

I saw those tiny white feather trees at Michael's a couple weeks ago and was tempted to buy one. They're cute!

I'll have to scoot on over there and look at those. I have the perfect corner for a tree that I don't think she'll knock over. She has a really long, powerful tail.

You could just slide three rolls of toilet paper onto her tail to keep it weighed down...

Cody too, and he surprised us last year by pretty much ignoring the tree. It's tucked away in a corner in the living room, and except for the occasional ornament being sent airborne via the tail, it wasn't an issue. The cat will likely try to burn the house down. He'll be spending the night in the laundry room through the holidays. :lmao:

The feather tree I saw was tabletop size. I think I need it.

you could put your tree upside down... i've heard of a lot of people who hang them from the ceiling.. yep i thought that sounded strange ... but it looks nice

Big Lots has a pink tree. I just can not picture that one in my home. We got one of the real cheap trees from Family Dollar about three years ago when my cat knocked mine over and the pole broke and the plastic stand. It is a skinny one but when it's shaped and decorated it looks fuller and we only paid 25.00 for it. It's 6 and 1/2 ft tall. We have always had a very big full one, but this works just fine. When we was growing up, my Dad always went out and cut a freshtree, came home and spent hours shaping it up to put in the tree stand. Then he'd spend several hours putting the lights on it while Momma would say, you need to move this light or that light, you have two green together or two red together. After he passed away, she went and got a fake one and it's been that way ever since, except about five years ago, I got one for in my daughters house and my son in law would not listen to me about getting an inch or two off the bottom at an angle to let fresh water seep into the tree. His mother always had holes drilled into them. Well to say the least, the tree died in less then a week, so out came the artifisal tree again. What ever way you go, I'm sure it will be lovely.
