Thoughts??

This morning my laptop started making a soft "tone" sound about every 30 seconds. I have no idea what it is. I've restarted and it's still here. Comes from the right side near the CD slot. Power cord is in. I'm lost. Any ideas?

Running Windows Vista on an Acer Aspire 5520-5912.

Ok, just heard a little "Vista jingle" and the tone has stopped.

Maybe it's a hardware device that's loose and PNP finds it every now and then. Maybe try taking. out your modular CD/DVD drive and insert it again.
