I had to say it, Pete. I finally got around to checking out the bike (lights, pressures, fluids, etc) and going for a ride. I was surprised that the dang thing started (after recharging the battery 
). I only went ~15 miles just to make sure it was running right...I forgot how fast this thing is 
I'll start commuting with it again next week. I need to do another day of maintenance though...plugs, oil change, clean the air filter, sync the carbs, etc.
I'm also thinking that I might keep the YZF and just add the BMW to the collection next year...and convert the YZF into an all-electric bike! Of course, since the YZF is in good condition, it'd probably be a better idea to sell/trade it and get a junker to convert.
