I was wondering if they are bad as well. I have found two on myself already as well as one on my daughter. The one on my daughter was when we were in PA visiting my sister and she has a dog so I figure that's where that one came from. The two I found on me though, we don't have any animals and all I had done was walk to and from the car.

Ticks are horrible now. I'm outside a bit for my job, and every time I go out, I find multiple ticks on my clothes.

My dog's had a couple of ticks on her over the past month. Each time they were behind her ear and they were big, really big. It's crazy. We check her often because she loves being outside so I was surprised to see they were so big. Doesn't that mean they're full of blood? My poor little pups blood :frown:

Why don't you treat her with something like Frontline Plus?

Ticks seem to be really bad this year. My dogs have gotten plenty this summer. They were on the tick meds from the vet, now I am just buying the stuff from walmart and it seems to be working better. But I still have to check them, I find a few a week... its pretty gross :shocking:

I have not found any on the dog, but my husband has found two on him and I have found one on myself. I guess the frontline plus really does work.

I use frontline plus religiously on my 3 boxers and sometimes even put a little extra on them for good measure but i still find ticks on my dogs. So far this year I've found around 5/6 on my oldest male, 2 fleas and around 3/4 ticks on my young puppy male, and probably 2/3 on my female.

We live in an area where there are alot of trees and woods and ALOT of deer. My dogs have never had fleas nor have i found fleas in my house or anywhere but he got 1 from outside from somewhere and then all the ticks but 1/2 have been crawlers only 1/2 have been bitten in.

My husband also found a few on him too. So I don't completely trust the frontline, i still use it as i feel it helps but we should still check our pets as ticks are horrible this year! Death to all ticks! lol:yahoo:

Ticks still get on the dogs even if they've been treated. They just die when they bite them.
