Disney character accused of fondling

(CNN) -- A Walt Disney World employee dressed as the character Tigger at the Orlando, Florida, theme park was arrested Friday on charges of molesting a minor and committing battery against her mother while the three posed for a photo, according to a police affidavit.

....
During an interview with police, Chartrand said he may have inadvertently touched the girl's breast, and added that he suffers from dyslexia, which impaired his memory.

Our daughters are 2 and 1. When the younger one began to crawl toward the photographer, the Tigger lay down on the floor to pose for a photo with her.

"A Disney lawyer has suggested that the orange Tigger costume be dyed and its ears removed if it is introduced as evidence so that Disney can preserve the character's innocent image"

I have a better idea: spray the suit with the essence of an African antelope, and offer Mr. Chartrand a job as a Lion Trainer.

Sounds like Disney is more concerned with its corporate image than with the customer who was molested. No surprise there.

Sounds like everyone already has Goofy found guilty and are ready to mete out retribution.

I think it was accidental.

Why?

Because he turned this plea bargain down. If he was guilty, he would have jumped on it, and thanked God that no jailtime was forthcoming, and move to North Dakota and work in a 7-11. At least that's what I'd do.

If I was innocent, I'd do the same thing he did. Tell them to stick the plea bargain right the hell up their keisters.

So to speak.

But, but, but, don't we have a partial admission of guilt here by the accused:

"During an interview with police, Chartrand said he may have inadvertently touched the girl's breast, and added that he suffers from dyslexia, which impaired his memory."

Of course he's not going to say "I purposely felt her boobies up", but remember he suffers from dyslexia, and the eye is quicker than the hand, right?

Maybe that's because many of us find those kind of entertainers to be creepy. "Scary clowns--are there any other kind?"

I might have already said this in one of the other Tigger treads but...#1, the guy has on big gloves so wouldn't be able to feel anything. #2, he knew he was being photographed - do you really think he'd risk a cheap feel being recorded for posterity? #3, now all the wackjobs are coming out of the woodwork - "Tigger groped me too!" "Yeah! Me too!" "And me!!"

I think it's just a bullsh*t ploy to extort money out of Disney.

Alright, not a bad alternative scenario; and not all that farfetched either.

Wouldn't they have security cameras available, where they could review what happened?

It wouldn't be the first time people all cried "wolf" and tried to get in on the action.
