Tiki Bar Coming to St. Mary's Side of River?

The Boatel California is applying for a full blown beer, wine and liquor license for their marina on Seven Gables island near the infamous now closed Town Creek Marina. With narrow roads and no place to park, watch neighbors of the Boatel howl at the St. Mary's Alcoholic Beverage Board at their next meeting. Any new liquor license at this location could spell real trouble for the quiet old neighborhood and lead to the Redneck Mardi Gras coming to St. Mary's. The owners of the Boatel have been running their boating operation for 15 years without booze. Will the unprepared neighbors at Seven Gables be able to fight the wealthy and politically well connected folks at the Boatel? Only The Shadow knows for sure.

So Jameo, what's the scoop?

I've said before that the Tiki is what my dad calls a "yuppie" bar. Actually, most of the Solomons bars seem are like that. I don't believe there are any stereotypically "yuppie" hangouts in St. Mary's.

He wasn't there on Tuesday night then. Some of the women there forgot to comb their hair with a rock before they were dragged out of the cave.

Now is it for sure that the liquor license is for a bar or is it just so the marina can sell 6-packs to the boatmen???

It is. Try working there. The only plus is that there really are some great customers who regularly go there.

That is a bunch of BS!!!!!!!! Yeah they are applying for a liquor license to sell BEER ONLY! They are planning on turning that little front office into a little convenience store type thing for the Boatels customers.

And that is the scoop  There was a lady that came around the neighborhood monday asking for signatures to apply for the license and she told me and my father what they are planning on doing. St. Marys Today is UFB!!!!

I go fishin 5 to 10 times a year.

I have never caught a fish yet.
I always take a nice reclining chair or go on a boat.
I never take a pool, hook, or a net.
Sometimes I fish near a camp fire

I always take plenty of ice cold beverages.
