To raise money for PAWS new low cost spay/neuter/wellness pet clinic in Huntingtown, the Tiki Bar on Solomons Island is hosting a fundraiser and pet adoption event. "That Dog-Gone Tiki Bar Family Pet Day" will take place on Sunday October 11 from 12-5PM. It coincides with the PRAD parade and is also the last day the tiki bar is open for the season. There will be live music, pet contests, agility and search and rescue demonstrations, raffles, an auction, vendors, adoptable pets parade, GAMES-2-U van, food and more!

Participating rescue groups (so far) are PAWS (Patuxent Animal Welfare Society), HSCC (Humane Society of Calvert County), SMAWL (St Mary's Animal Welfare League), Greyt Expectations, DARE (Doberman Assistance Rescue & Education), Friends of Felines and the Beagle Rescue of Southern MD.

We have been collecting some great raffle and auction items.

50/50 tickets are available at Pepper's Pet Pantry (410) 326-4006 in Solomons and Doggie Stylez (443) 295-7831 in Prince Frederick.

The gift basket/certificate raffle tickets are being printed- we have collected some awesome raffle and auction items!

Tickets are now available at PPP and DoggieStylez (in PF at other end of plaza from Renegades motorcycle shop; near Outback) $5 ea or 5 for $20. ALL proceeds will go to the new low cost spay/neuter/wellness pet clinic in Huntingtown.

Some of the prizes include gift certs and items from: Vincenzos, Spyros, CD Cafe, Interlude Kennels, Creative Memories, Doggie Stylez, DogWatch, Just One More Tack Shop, Tiki Bar, Lord Calvert Bowling Center, Dominos, Midnight's Dog Training, St Leonard Collision, Bag O Beads, Radio Shack, Outback, PPP and more!
Drawings will be held at Oct 11 event.

Working on posting them on Petfinder.

Musqi - he is said to be around 7 years old, great with other dog, fine with Kids, and house trained. He also likes to snuggle and sit in your lab.

I hope everyone can make it over to the Tiki Bar in Solomons for this event on Sunday! The weather is going to me nice, mostly sunny, high of 68, and light winds. PRAD is going on on Solomons too!
