time for dinner

The preacher's wife was making Sunday dinner, when the preacher walked in the house and says "That ham smells wonderful." His wife replies "That's a Dam-Ham." The preacher was surprised by his wife's use of profanity. She showed him the wrapper and explained that was the brand name of the ham. They sat down for dinner and the preacher says to his son, "Son, pass me the dam-ham." Snd his son replies, "That's the spirit, Pop, now pass me the f-cking potatoes"

Thanks for the laugh. I can't sleep because hub is on a business trip. I have to stay up and guard the guns all night! My dogs have passed so no alert there, and the cats are cute, but of no use for defense, except when they seem to see something that isn't there! Living in the woods doesn't help, either! These are times when I wish more forumites were awake. :killingme

hey there!
You and I are so much alike!
I can't sleep either when hubby goes on travel.
Our dog passed, so we don't have any protection there..oh wait-he never was a guard dog! lol
I always thought it would be scary to live in the woods...we live in semi-woods. Our front yard is cleared, but the back isn't. (Best of both worlds.)
Hope you got some sleep last night, and that you have a good day!
(Hope your hubby isn't gone for too long!):huggy:

Well, here I am again, and can't sleep. Isn't it funny that we can't sleep without the ones we sleep with. Anyway, I thought about your kind reply from yesterday. Hub won't be home til 2am Fri. nite. Don't feel sorry for him because he is in Vegas all week for annual meeting. Continue to feel sorry for me! And, thanks, for the huggy! I needed that! :huggy:

It means to me that we have an inseparable bond! I hate to say this and it might not be a good thing, but I think if my hubby were to die first, I would be close behind...he is my everything!

Try to have a good night tonight! (Although I know, it will be the same as past nights. Have to keep hope!):1bdz:
