Around the corner I have a friend
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow" I say!" I will call on Jim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
"Here's a telegram sir,' Jim died today."
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.
Remember to always say what you mean.
If you love someone, tell them.
Don't be afraid to express yourself.
Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you.
Because when you decide that it is the right time, it might be too late.
Seize the day. Never have regrets.
And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family.
For they have helped make you the person that you are today.

and I think a good follow up would be:
Tis the season to be jolly. Peace and glad tidings on earth.
Don't we all wish this were the case in all peoples lives. During
this holiday season, many will be under a lot of stress, depressed,
and even suicidal. This takes place when all the frills and advertising
is pushed to the limits as the Christmas holiday approaches. What
takes place in the lives of all the excited people January 2nd 2007?
The kind giving spirit seems to dis-appear back into it's cage until
November. The Lord is looking for a people who will live a Christ like life
365 each year. This will help make many changes in the lives of those
around us. The apostle Paul writing to the Philippian Brethren, tells
them to rejoice in the Lord always and again he says rejoice. (Philippians
4:4 We have so much to rejoice about if we are Christians. If we are
not Christians, we can become a Christian and truly make this a season
to rejoice. If you are not sure of your relationship with the Lord Jesus, please
read the following verses and seriously consider becoming a Christian
before another day passes.
1....Matthew 11:28--30----Jesus great invitation---
2....Romans 10:17---This tells us where faith comes from.
3....John 8:24, The belief that is pleasing to our Lord.
4....Luke 13:3, Repentance must take place. To repent,
a person must turn from sin and turn to God in
righteousness. (Romans 6:16--18)
5....A new birth must take place--(John 3:3--5; Mark 16:15,16;
Acts 2:26--41; Romans 6:3--6; and Galatians 3:26--28)
6....Revelation 2:10; A faithful life is to follow our new birth.
May God bless you as you prepare to live for Jesus. To all of
you who are Christians, Please encourage your family and friends who
are not Christians to Obey Jesus and live for Him.
