While sealing my deck, I got some spatters of tinted deck sealer on my vinyl siding. Can you use deck stripper to remove it or should I use something else?

Small area, use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser....
Will that really work?
It's a large area with a lot of small spatters... I could use it... but if there's a chemical that would be safe and a little quicker so I can just wipe, that would be good.

If your siding is vinyl, then yes it will work without damaging your siding, or the sealer you just applied. I wouldn't use anything stronger than that unless the Magic Eraser doesn't work.

Some grain alcohol will do wonders and you can have fun with the left over.

Seriously grain alcohol is a great cleaner. I don't mean that wussy stuff I'm talking 190 proof Everclear btw.

Try Oz & Cz's suggestions first. If they don't do it, Deck stain remover should work. Or you can try a product called "On and Off". Available at boaters world. Be careful though because this stuff is powerful. It's acid based so try a small area first. I use it to remove stains from the boat.

Do you ever do anything without a prior consult from this forum?

IMHO, you might have tried getting to this as soon as it happened. The linger it sits the more of a chance the stain is going to set into the vinyl. Since vinyl is pourous, you may be SOL. You might have to call Bob Greens Siding for replacement.

Other products that work pretty well are Goof-Off and Afta. You can get these at Lowes or the local hardware store.

Let us know what happens.
