To eat more.

She is kind of finicky. I think the people that fed her gave her lots of table food and not dog food. I gave her science diet puppy food and some canned food. She ate some of the canned. She has 8 puppies and they are only 7 days old. Some tips of other things to try and get her to eat?

Does my butt look big?
Yogert will help her tummy settle too...and beef and chicken broth...when they start pulling her down and she gets into top milk production she will eat anything around...

Is she in a puppy pen/ kennel with them? if so make sure she has dry food and water hanging on the cage..if you have them on a heating pad or with a heat lamp on them I try to keep some ice in the water for the momma..good luck..she will start eatting..

I will get some yogurt tomorrow.

She is in a kiddie pool with them. I have a pen around the whole area. She has a vari-kennel to go lay in if she wants a break which she does do occasionally. I have water & food right beside the kiddie pool. I go up every couple of hours. The room is nice & warm.

Rocky Mountain High!!
you can offer her cottage cheese. and a good quality puppy food. she'll eat eventually. in the wild, they eat all the placenta's which keeps them fed for about a week, so they don't HAVE to leave the nest for the first week or so of life. she's stressed right now, being moved, she's getting used to her surroundings. try to keep disturbaces down to a minimum. (like the other dogs and people going in and out of the room) Good luck...where are pix??? :tap:
