“I was born in Netanya, Israel in 1953. I grew up in an Orthodox Jewish family where my grandfather, Zechariah, was the local rabbi. I was basically raised in the synagogue, and under the guidance of my father, Judah, I studied the Torah and Talmud. I was never satisfied with the answers that were provided about the God I faced on a daily basis. He seemed like a harsh, archaic kind of fellow that punished you every time you made a mistake. Still, I believed in God, and knew His hand was on me. When I met Lynette, I knew that God sent her to me, and I told her so. She felt the same way.”
