Oh for crap sake people get some perspective, it was Applebees not some 5 star restaurant requiring advance reservations! If the kids were bothering you so much why didn’t you just confront the parents or ask the manager to say something to the parents?

exactly, its freaking applebees, and not that Vrai and i see eye to eye often, like she said, if you don't want to deal with kids then don't go places that hand out crayons!
If you don't want kids near you when you eat, try the dockside

Actually, she was quoting me. That's still no excuse to allow your spawn to take over a public establishmet. I don't even approve of the way people allow their children to behave in Chucky Cheese. The one time I took my daughter to a Chucky Cheese, she looked at all the out of control kids like they had two heads. Even she was amazed.

It is a parent's job to define acceptable behavior to a child, and to ensure the child learns to act respectably in public. If little Frannie was not using her "indoor voice", if little Frannie could not keep her fanny in the seat, if little Frannie and her cohorts were getting rambunctious enough to cause a cup to be knocked over, than Frannie's parent(s) are failing Frannie. Frannie will most likely grow up to be a self-centered, obnoxious adult who won't know how to properly raise her children should she ever have any. :frown:
Kids making noise is nothing, but all that under the table mess is not right. The mother ( or Father) should have taken her outside and spanked her!

Same for the kids in stores that cry their eyes out because they cant have candy or a toy! You dont tell them " Shhh Shhh thats not good, dont do that" You take them outside and spank them!!
