What is your favorite national chain pizza? How about your favorite frozen pizza. And lastly where have you had the best pizza ever?

The worst pizza I ever had was in the Philippines. After about 10 days of asian food I was ready for a change. This pizza closely resembled a dough covered with ketchup and bechamel sauce. I don't think there was any actual cheese in the pizza. Instead of oregano I think they used vinegar.

My alltime favorite is anything coming out of the wood fired bee hive in a southern Italy pizzeria. Anybody that has been to Sigonella will recognize what I'm referring to. A plate sized pizza that takes about 3 minutes to cook in that hot oven.

I've never had a frozen pizza that I thought was particularly good (or any good really).

As for Pizza restaurants, Ledo's is easily my favorite. I don't think they're a national chain though, still regional last I was aware.

I liked Tree Tavern frozen. It was awful, but good at the same time.

Worst pie - Minneapolis/St. Paul. flat cracker crust, awful sauce, not enough cheese.

Best pie - a small shop in Calverton NY on Long Island.

Chain pies are barely mediocre at best.

For frozen, I love Fruschetta the best.
For chain, I think Pizza Hotline (I don't eat pizza at restaurants, usually delivery so my sampling is very limited)
Least favorite UNO's

I have to agree that the best pizza I've ever eaten was in Italy - at a place in Rome called - Domino's - no relation.

Monello, if you like a good wood fired bee hive pizza, I'm going to recommend OBO's in Smallwood Village in Waldorf. Their mediterranean pizza is especially good, but they're all the closest I've had to Italy. It's a dive, but omg, the pizza's effin' good.

Forgot to add - the pizza in the Milwaukee area is also a thing to behold; it's got a cracker thin crust with some good old Wisconsin cheese on it. YUMM!

My favorite national chain would be Papa John's, which I haven't had in years being in Hughesville. I do however LOVE me some Pizza Hotline and usually order it every Friday for the family, their subs are good as well. I hear that pizza from Grotto's is really good to so I may have to try some soon. I really want to try Carrabbas pizza only because all of their food is SO good. Ledo's is okay, but I'm over it, I'd choose Pizza Hotline. I'd have to say the best pizza I've had was from PA at a place called Central Pizza, was NY style and FANTASTIC.
