The whole team will suffer next year when Don Schumacher leaves to work for the other team. I'm happy Justin Humphries won in Pro Stock. He's a local guy

That was an amazing run. 317mph in 3.8 seconds. Made the hair stand up on my arms. Last time that happened I was in the stands watching Nitro Harleys run 200 mph almost 8 years ago. Unreal.

*Alan Johnson :yay:

I hope Tony is enjoying this now because they'll never come close to this success without AJ making the calls on that team.

I agree with you, but unless all the tracks on the circuit are equipped with sufficient shut down areas it won't happen.

What happened to Scott Kalitta may not have happened if the shut down area was much longer, and that lift with the camera at the end wasn't there.

Safety in Drag Racing has come a long way over the years, but the speeds have increased so greatly, it takes incidents such as this and what happened to Eric Medlin to work on making it safer

Or if that big concrete barrier wasn't there, along with the forrest directly behind it.

The only thing missing from the shut down area in Englishtown was the lake full of sharks with laser beams attached to their heads.

Englishtown won't happen. I'm amazed they kept that race because there's no way to expand the shut down area at E'Town.

You hear the rumors about MIR going NHRA? :killingme

The things people will believe. :roflmao:

MIR doesn't have the facilities or the $$$ to compete in NHRA, but then again I'm just bitter because they threw me out back in 71 when an empty beer can fell out of the grille when I staged my car.

Why wouldn't Royce take MIR to NHRA? The crowd at the President's Cup was terrible this year and if he gets to keep all of his other money making races and then also substitute a IHRA National Event with an NHRA one, he'd do it in a heart beat. I've known Royce for a long long time, and at the end of the day, if making that move could make him $1 extra, he'd do it.

Crowd at the President's Cup was awful because LiveNation thought they were smarter than Royce and moved it to June.

It'll be back in September where it belongs next year.
