TOO FAT TO BE ON A PLANE

A conservative commentator shut down after her foul rant about sitting between two overweight people on a short flight has received an unexpected token of goodwill from the airline.

Sydney Watson, a right-wing American-Australian political journalist who is no stranger to controversial subjects, took to Twitter last month in an unruly campaign arguing: “If you need a seat belt extender, you are TOO FAT TO BE ON A PLANE”.

Her offensive comments came after she was seated between obese siblings on a three-hour American Airlines flight, during which she claimed she was being touched throughout.

She claimed in a lengthy Twitter post she had been “WEDGED between two OBESE people” on the flight, which she argued was “absolutely NOT acceptable or okay.”

I notice now in waiting rooms they have an oversized chair for husky individuals. 50 years from now most of the chairs will be that size with an occasional smaller chair in the mix.

Everything was smaller not too long ago. If you look at my elementary school pics, we were all as thin as Ethernopians. The 'husky' kids back then are today's norm.

My house was built in 1970, and the toilets were much smaller than today's standard toilet. I've never swapped them out (new ones just won't fit without ripping the floors up) and guests have commented on how small they are.

We're remodeling a bathroom, and I was surprised that new toilets are about two inches higher than they were 8 years ago when we last looked at them.

Watch the distance from the wall as well. Mine are 8" from wall to floor mount studs, new ones are 9".

Not that long ago what we call fat today was desirable and a sign of affluence.

But take heart! As prices rise and food gets scarcer after Communism takes hold, we'll all be a bunch of Kate Mosses all heroin chic, then we'll admire the tubbies because they'll be the only ones who can afford to eat.

So-called "Chair Height" (about 17" to the rim of the porcelain), which started as an ADA thing around the turn of the century. "Standard Height" (about 15" to the rim of the porcelain) is still sold.

At one time Crane made one that was 19" tall, but took it off the market after older folks were complaining that their legs would go to sleep and they'd fall over when tying to get up. Crane also made one they called the Tian, which was 2" wider than standard.

Then we add in Elongated versus Round bowl.

I worked the Plumbing Department at Lowe's for several years.

2 October made 20 years with them.

If you sit on the toilet so long your legs go to sleep you are spending too much time there.
Do your business and get up.

As full of shet as you typically are I would have thought you'd be more sympathetic for those with intestinal issues.

Sydney's post here:

They already had the solution to this decades ago, but did away with it to prevent hurt feelings I guess. I can remember when they made you purchase a second seat if you couldn't fit into one.
