Hello all, recently moved to the area and looking for a touch free car wash. The ones I have found have all been the ones with the spinning brushie things.

Any suggestions for a touch free one ?

Thanks !

Are you in Charles, Calvert, or St. Mary's?

Without the touch, there's still dirt on the paint. On a fairly warmer day this time of year; Get a bucket, add some car cleaner, add water, wet spray the car, wipe the car from the mixture in the bucket with a soft cloth, then hose off. Hey, and it's cheaper too.

...or, let the rain "wash" your car and do not worry about an inanimate object.

Do it yourself if you care about your paint if not then there is a place off of 301 cannot remember its name but its right before Napoli's pizza you'll see it as there is probably 20 Illegals all standing around with rags in their hands

Exactly also you can mix hot water from inside your home with the water from the spigot or have a mixing valve put on the line you use to wash your car...Power washing just blast the dirt into your paint so dont do that if you care about your car

You could do that but if you trade it in you wont get much for a dirty piece if chit...lol
No worries, we usually drive them until they are clunkers. My wife still has her 1993 Escort, dithering about disposing or restoring.

Normal road dirt washes for 3 beloved Corvette's and a Dodge Challenger I use Solomons spinning brushes and dragging felts and have never found a scratch. The Yukon's back wiper assembly was demolished but that was my fault for not using the provided bag. When I get serious road salt and mud, Solomons car wash has the spray booths that work great but you have to do the work. The attached pic of the C6 would not go near a brush wash.

Dude....... pull that black car into the sun when clean or under fluorescent lighting and I guarantee you have swirl marks galore. If you don't know what swirl marks are vs. a scratch go to google my friend.

You probably should have taken your own advice about google https://www.carwash.com/truth-origins-scratches-swirls/
That article is correct in some ways. Swirls in fact come from washing and drying, whether its from hand washing or automatic carwashes. Toucheless is the lesser of the evil, but only gets the car so clean and the detergents strip any wax you may have on the car. By hand washing, someone can take the time to properly rinse the wash mitt between panels to minimize scratches and swirls. Those brushes and neoprene strips in car wash washes aren't cleaned between each car. So the dude that just ran his muddy car through the wash, the next car gets some of that grime on the brushes ground into his paint as it gets washed.

I can understand that. You either care about certain things or you don't. It's pretty clear where you stand on a lot of things.
Freedoms vs perfect paint on a car - ima go with freedoms first because that will allow you a choice of car washes.
