My Mimosa Pudica that my husband dug up for me from a sunny, dry spot in the yard. I dote on this thing, and absolutely love it.

That won't grow into a tree will it? Ugh... I HATE mimosa trees!!! :burning:

No. It only grows to 5 or 6 feet. It's in the same family as the Mimosa tree, but it's quite different. It has small thorns, so you need gloves when handling it, but they're not bad. I've handled it, carefully, without gloves.

It dies back every winter. If planted in the ground, where I found it growing wild, it will spread. It's not a climber. I had to attach it to the trellis with zip ties.
