Traffic vent

Coming back from Alexandria to just south of the Green Door. Due to congestion, Google maps brought us down 210 all the way to 224/225. Then over to 301, then 234....... that's where the pain started. From MIR on, we were stuck behind a Wal Mart Semi out of Virginia. 45-50mph the entire way. Tiptoed through the roundabouts at about 4-5mph. Finally get clear of that one on Rt5 through Leonardtown. Leaving L-town, get behind a school bus that 40-45 the whole way to Callaway. Get behind a big white pickup, he sticks to 40-45 the whole way to Park Hall Road. Throttle up, but only for about 1,000 feet until the small Ford in front of me, tag GODGIVN, makes me slow to no kidding 35mph.

At no time was I any closer than two car lengths to any of these people, this wasnt triggered behavior by anything I did. Just glacial people......... Had I been on my motorcycle or in the wifes Z4, I could have made a pass. But we were in the 2003 Odyssey trash hauler, so that was out of the question. I wasnt late for anything. Just not a fan of creeping below the speed limit.

Those were fine, it wasnt any of that that was a problem, that routing avoided some bad traffic on 301. Waze is pretty integrated into google maps. I see the same things a Waze user does, and I can make or verify reports.

Holy crap!!!!! There was an MSP officer directing traffic yesterday at the intersection of Pegg and Chancellor for the house fire there that had the SB lanes closed, he was directing the SB traffic onto Pegg. Even had a high viz vest on. Some orange gloves might have helped but he was out there.
