this is horrible. I think we all can identify with that uneasy feeling in air travel, but the loss of life..... horrible...

I watched the morning news on wjla, channel 7. I think they did a good job, but the update by local politicians at 730 was "interesting".

Bowzer: dazed and confused and deer in the headlights.... (YES!!! I know there wasnt alot she could say), but wake up M'am.
I'm glad the new Secretary of Transportation was lucid and not Pretty Pete.. what an indoctrination
WOAH!!! Mark Warner was in the same State when the incident occurred!!!!! He saw the flickering emergency lights!!!!
Tim Kaine has a purple tie.
The MSP Trooper made his Stetson visible....

It'll take months/years to investigate completely, but Warner... wow... his bravery...in the same State....

Why is the DC mayor involved? Reagan National is situated in Virginia. Shouldn't it be the Governor of Virginia leading? Also, one can gather that the three in the Blackhawk were the pilot, co-pilot and crew chief. Can't figure how this even remotely could have happened. Though I have seen many a military helicopter, Blackhawk or other, always flying and traversing the area in low altitude flight in the area north of the WW bridge, which could/would be in the flight path of planes if they were at a higher altitude, but they always flew much lower than the flight path of landing planes. Perhaps the Blackhawk was flying at to high of an altitude? Pretty sure a revised NOTAM will be issued to address this incident so it doesn't come close to happening again.

The Potomac River there belongs to DC so the crash happened in DC.

Many DC first responders are involved. Also many of the surrounding counties (including Chuck) send resources.

Just a second or 2 too long staring at cockpit instruments. Reaching to reset a circuit breaker. Misunderstanding between pilot & copilot. Lots of possibilities if the helo is the at fault aircraft.

It’s pretty obvious this was a case of DEI

Trump said it multiple times, he knows something, they need to announce who that chopper pilot was asap!

Do you every have anything useful to say?

What do you know about this crash?
You could clearly apply this to the person you see staring back you in the mirror. You have the distinction of bringing politics in a thread that was specifically NOT doing that. Try going to the Politics forum and spread your crap there.
