Trapped By Fallen Tree, Disabled Man Kills Himself

CAMANO ISLAND, Wash. -- A disabled man who was injured when a windblown tree crushed his trailer killed himself as he lay trapped in the wreckage on Christmas Day, authorities said.

From the way it sounds, he didn't have much choice: either die quickly by his own hand or slowly starve to death since he couldn't get help.

Though it says a visitor found him later that day, if he had only held out hope a little long, you wont starve that quickly. Don't you remember Schaivo...

Yes, I remember very well. But he probably didn't know that anyone was coming to visit him. I have no idea of his mindset, but after two days trapped without food or water, he might have reached his limit.

two days???? the visitor came later that same day, probably to check on the guy after the storm, it hadn't even been 24 hours...
