Along the same lines...Can anyone recommend a reasonable hauler to take a truckload or so of crap from my home in Northern Calvert County? I've priced dumpsters and they are UNREASONABLY priced. TIA

I just go to the dump. The morons who pick up in my neighborhood only get 80% of the trash in the truck. The rest ends up in the road where it blows around into my yard. Then there is always that really nasty puddle of pimortial oooze that leaks out into the road by my driveway that reeks worse than the ass of a dead skunk on day 5 after a road kill.

We take ours to the transfer station too. It's only 5 miles away and we take our recycling there too, so it's no big deal. We get the neighbor's trash along our hedges all the time, every time their trash is picked up by Waste Management, they throw the cans back and whatever is left in the can blows down our way. It's disgusting. Of course, it would be nice if the neighbors actually put their trash in bags and not stuff all their loose stuff into the cans.

Years ago we used a local company to pick up trash, but I can't remember their name. They were much cheaper than WM, but since they were only picking up for a few houses in our area (Golden Beach), they told us they had to stop since it wasn't worth their while. Since then it's been the transfer station for us.
