I use the VA for my healthcare. All of their records are kept electronically. The only rub is that the information is kept in regional data bases. You would thing the DC VA would talk to the California VA. NO. You have to go to eligibility and request access. What a PITA.
So I walk into the SC VA and give them my information. I get the sorry "You're not in our system". Then I have to go to the eligibility desk and request my info to be downloaded to them. It doesn't matter how insignificant your request, if you ain't in, no service.
As someone that spends a lot of time on the road, having that availability is important. Plus the price is right. This year I've had to get access in Iowa, Utah and now SC. I guess if I'm on the road long enough I'll have all 50 states covered.
