tree stump planter

I have a treee stump in my front yard that has aged and hollowed out.. I had the idea to turn it into a planter.. what plants/flowers would you suggest for it? I know I would like to add some ivy to it.. and something for color.

OH and any ideas for using the mooshy wood that came out of the middle?

Plant crocus(sp)or daisys and ivy and use the wood that is rotted as mulch:diva:

House we are moving into has old barrel half around some kind of plant and is rotted in front, going to do something with that.

I have one of those also that I wanted to turn into a planter :whistle:

I was gonna post pictures but I can't find them :tantrum

i think it would look really nice... theres a patch of the old time narcissus in the field behind me... maybe some of those and some pansies and a bit of ivy...


* got the pm had to leave for a bit and take the chai monster out
