We just finished watching all 6 episodes of this series.
They did a show about the gang rape in a bar in Massachusetts. 4 immigrants rape a girl of the same ethnic group. But the locals all rally around the rapists and vilify the victim. What I enjoy is they play a lot of snippets from that time frame(1983). All 4 are found guilty and spend years in jail. 10,000 people show up for a rally for the rapists. The victim is forced to move to Florida to avoid the wrath of the locals. She dies 3 years later, crashing her car while drunk. None of the rapists are deported.
In today's era of the MeToo movement, it's quite a contrast with middle aged women in 1983 saying the victim must have been asking for it, by showing up in a bar unescorted.
