I'm not familiar with the case, or the person (so of course I have an opinion), but if two of three BACs come out that high and the one that was low was a breath when the others were blood, I would tend to believe the two.
That said, lots of people ignorant about the effects of amphetamines (I.E. speed) in this thread. They are used for focus and attention and because they wake you up which is why long-haul truckers that want to skip sleeping for days at a time abuse them. They are practically a performance enhancing drug for driving, like steroid use for bodybuilding (not healthy to use long term, but effective for that specific purpose).
Please reread the times that the BACs were supposedly taken. The 2nd and 3rd weren’t possible, even with respect to each other.

Yep, right up until you crash. This time literally, she crashed and drove right into a car full of innocents. But that is if you believe her story, which I don’t. As you said, two or more blood tests Is pretty damn incriminating. Not to mention she had her day in court and she was convicted.

Ya' know, I've really tried to not comment, but you need to stop. It doesn't matter if you've never had a drop to drink, never been on any medication, and never took your eyes off the road. The fact remains, this was your fault. Until today, I wasn't even following it. I knew you had rear ended someone, and it was bad. After you came on here today and tried to defend your actions, after being found guilty in a court of law, and tried to make this out like you're the victim, I decided to do some poking around, and wow! Just wow! You have some nerve. I'm appalled. You should be ashamed of yourself. Whatever trials and tribulations you have gone through from the accident, or will go through, will never compensate for the lives you have damaged. I don't even know the victims, but I know you, and I thought you'd be a bigger person.

Oh please, Ms. Gellings. It’s about time you drop the “woe is me” act But while we're on the topic, I’d like to go on record of correcting your comment about Angie’s husband “yelling” at you. That is quite the exaggeration. I was present in court both that day and for the actual trial. He did not “yell” at you at all. In fact, he didn’t even raise his voice. He simply told you, in a stern voice, not to talk to/touch his wife. This family has been through so much and you had the nerve to touch Angie that day, which was inappropriate and her undoing. She has suffered and still suffers the most out of everyone. And every time I turn around over these last several months, your only comment is about that effing dog. You are less concerned about your actions and how they effected these 4 young adults and more concerned about your dog. I understand it was a loss to you, but it was at YOUR hands. There’s no way your half ass “medical” defense would have gone anywhere had your ambulance chasing attorney not discredited a doctor simply because she practiced in D.C. and not Maryland. THREE HOURS LATER... the BAC jumped to 0.157 (not chemically possible unless consumed AFTER initial BAC was taken, LMAO), then forty minutes after that it dropped to 0.127 (another no-no - alcohol cannot dissipate that fast, again, chemically). My ambulance chasing lawyer chased down the ambulance workers and verified that not one person on the scene, or one police officer, smelled alcohol on me! The State's Attorney's office has just been looking for a super scapegoat all along instead of just letting it be a ####ing accident. The drug in my system was amphetamines, that I still take for narcolepsy, to keep my brain AWAKE! You people want to tell me that I am some bad person? I'm not. I have no recollection of that day whatsoever, but I would not have gotten behind the wheel with my puppy in the car inebriated. You would think that people that know me would know that, For God's sake, Vrai, you would think that you would know the truth. Seriously, who has been feeding you this information? I honestly - from the bottom of my heart - feel like this is some bad alternate reality where my double is some kind of plague to humanity. And EVERYONE keeps saying I never showed remorse! First of all - no lawyer in the world would let me talk to them! Second, when I did try to apologize to Angela in court the first day I saw her, her husband yelled at me, "Don't you talk to my wife." And finally, I have apologized, through the State's Attorney AND the judge. If the Kalnasys are not being the recipients of the heartfelt remorse, then I can only apologize for going through with what I thought were the proper channels.

What an awful burden you have to deal with, but I wish all concerned the best. The thing that I think about is in my 45 years of driving, I have never gotten a traffic ticket, or caused an accident. I have been in accidents that were not my fault. I do have one question. Why would you expose yourself on this forum about this incident, and perpetuate it? I don’t get that. I do understand that some accidents are caused by medical moments, but you seem over the top on that. JMO.
And, is Bob Harvey really your lawyer? That was a mistake, in itself.

If you’ll recall, I only came on to dispute Vrai’s commentary on my existence. Readers and commentators alike seem to think that defending oneself =no remorse. The sad truth is that this was a horrible accident. But an accident it was.

It's completely obvious that you show no remorse. Just another guilty person saying they're not guilty. It's clear the only person you feel sorry for is yourself - the best way to show how truly sorry you are is to shut your trap and own your mistakes. You ruined 4 people's lives and yet you're running your mouth that the justice system failed you. Also, no one feels sorry for you that the family or Angela didn't want to hear your apology. The only thing in that car I feel sorry for is your dog.

Ma'am you need to get a grip. I sat in on both trial days recently as well as the postponed date from back in November. I was a witness to the crash and wanted to keep up with what happened because I saw how badly the victims were.
So lets address the victims first. The FOUR people in that truck that you absolutely destroyed are the victims. Not you. You created your own injuries and ailments. These four innocent people will always be in pain. I say four one more time so maybe it sinks in. You said two earlier and I want to make sure you are corrected. Every single one of them almost died and if it wasn't for the amazing doctors at Washington Hospital Center you would be sitting on four counts of vehicular manslaughter.
Now let's talk about your little interaction with Mrs. Kalnasy during that date in November. You walked up and grabbed her and tried to say you were sorry. Her husband did not yell at you, he told you to not speak to her. As soon as you left the court room she busted out into tears. Can you imagine why? The woman who WALKED into the courtroom that put her in a wheelchair for potentially her whole life had the audacity to try and make a scene by apologizing and touching her. And don't give me that crap about no lawyer would let you apologize to them. How hard is it to send a simple letter or message online that regardless of the outcome you are sorry. Not sending it through the courts or the states attorney, but to THEM. And how does it feel to have caused over 3 million dollars in medical costs to these four people? How do you even sleep at night knowing that? But I am sure you 2 week coma was plenty huh? Mrs. Kalnasy had 3 months in a coma, but she didn't ask for any of that.
Now lets talk about the actual court date. It was absolutely disgusting watching you on that stand the first day. Another poster said it perfectly.....you looked high as ####. You barely could walk in the court room, I saw you on your phone during the trial itself, and then someone had to help you walk out. Go ahead and deny it but everyone saw it. Your expert witness was an absolute joke as well. I would love to hear how much money you wasted on that. He sat up there and babbled on for an hour just to hear himself talk. But when it came down to it the judge saw through the BS and agreed with the board certified surgeon who actually saved everyones lives that horrific night, including yours.
Funny how the states attorney made a glaring point that you don't want to approach but I am sure you have some BS excuse. Your so called condition can cause erratic behavior BUT it does not come on all of the sudden. You will have indication of such. So even if this was a medical emergency, you knowingly drove when you should not have been. And you can't defend that because according to you, you don't remember the day at all.
Be an adult and just accept what you did. The families have suffered enough.
