Mine and Nicholas' day, camper was in for some minor warranty work, they called yesterday to come and get it.
Ran into this this on the way. .. had to go to Ashland, VA from Dameron, MD to pick up camper. Detour after detour. Rte 5 and Great Mills Rd (10 minutes into the trip) closed, backroads around to Rte 4, Rte4 Tree Down over road, tree wasn't blocking road, the cops were though.. work around that backroads that finally came out at McKay's, and 5 is closed in Leonardtown.. no signs, no warning.. takes us back out to 235 to Charlotte Hall, left turn before rte 6 is totally flooded 235 South is CLOSED.. go onto Rte 6, smooth sailing, waze took us down Penn Hill Rd to 234, to 301 then an accident at our exit on 95S in Ashland.. missed the washed out road on Rt 6
Went across the 301 bridge (both dorections) and noticed River was running NORTH? NOTHING is going to recede as long as the Potomac is running the wrong direction.
Kept telling Nicholas ONE more detour or blocked rd we're going home.. Next one... we're going home.. ok, ONE more.. then it became a challenge.
Get there and the largest RV dealer in the East is near EMPTY. Where there are usually HUNDREDS of RV's (guess 500?) There were maybe 50..
