Years ago, there was a VW add showing how they were airtight. It showed a VW floating on water. National Lampoon magazine did a spoof of it, showed a VW floating with the caption "If Ted Kennedy drove a Volkswagon, he would be president today"! After much pressure from the Kennedy M#######s they pulled the issue a few days later.
